Green Night on July 12
Event Description

Interested in learning more about clean, low-maintenance electric vehicles? Don't miss the next Green Night on July 12th!
Massachusetts has been overseeing the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations throughout the state. The goal is to encourage the use of zero emission vehicles to reduce CO2 emissions from the transportation sector.

Stephen Russell will provide an overview of electric vehicles and where and how to charge them. He will also go though some items to consider before installing charging stations. He will talk about the EV rebate program available to MA consumers who purchase or lease electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles. He will also describe the Mass Drive Clean campaign, including an event in Northampton in July, where people can test drive electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Then, Ann-Renée Larouche will share her personal experience as an EV driver, addressing many of the topics of potential interest to attendees contemplating going electric. She will also provide an overview of the Low-Income EV Program being launched by Community Action.
