What does it take to build the future of housing, starting today? In this month’s Next Up event, Passive House Accelerator explores real-world strategies, technologies, and materials that are already transforming how we design and construct high-performance buildings.
Passive House Accelerator featured speaker is Dale Hulst, founder of Michigan Net Zero Homes LLC. With over 40 years of experience in construction, including 30 years in commercial HVAC as an engineer, project manager, and business leader, Dale brings a deep systems-level perspective to residential building. He has helped lead innovation efforts in energy-efficient equipment, holds multiple patents, and is now applying that same inventive spirit to some of the most forward-thinking homes in the country.

Insights from one of the most innovative residential foundation systems in the United States
Passive House best practices, including how to build for wind resilience
The life cycle assessment benefits of Passive House and low embodied carbon construction

Dale Hulst is a licensed builder, Phius Certified Passive House Consultant, and former HVAC industry innovator with over 40 years of construction experience. He holds multiple patents for energy-saving technologies developed during his 30-year career in commercial HVAC and now applies that deep technical expertise to pioneering net-zero, Passive House-level residential projects in Michigan. Through Michigan Net Zero Homes, Dale is advancing high-performance, low-carbon construction with a focus on resilience and innovation, all while staying active in community climate initiatives and advocacy.
Kristin Corra, Climate® Adhesive/Sealant
Kristin Corra leads strategy and outreach for Climate, Inc., a company manufacturing next-generation adhesive designed to mitigate damage from seismic and high-wind events. With a background in international democratization and military intelligence, Kristin brings a global, systems-thinking approach to climate adaptation and resilience. She is a passionate advocate for early adoption of materials and practices that strengthen buildings and communities against the growing risks of climate change.
