Event Description
June 5th is World Environment Day! In a time of increasing environmental challenges, many people are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and unsure of how to respond. But what if the path to empowerment begins with something as simple and ancient as connecting with nature?
In this one-hour interactive session, explore how deepening your connection with the natural world can help process climate anxiety in healthy, meaningful ways, and learn how giving space for emotional responses to environmental issues and nature can inspire real-world action and advocacy.
World Environment Day is a time to celebrate, protect, and work towards restoring the planet. This session will be your invitation to engage not just with the Earth but also with your own power to contribute to change. Whether you’re a concerned citizen, student, educator, or simply curious, this session is designed to leave you feeling grounded, supported, and motivated to be part of positive change.
Learn to dive into fundamental link between our empowerment, emotions and nature to help you turn your feelings into positive action. This session will explore and practise:
- What climate anxiety is and why it’s a natural response
- The link between nature connection and emotional wellbeing
- How reconnection with nature can inspire hope and motivation
- Practical actions you can take to support change in your community
This workshop is suitable for any interested individual from all sectors and backgrounds, no prior experience needed.
This will be an interactive session so please do be prepared to have your camera an microphone on. The session will be held on Zoom.
