"Drive Green" Rebate Programs in RI, MA: Buy Electric Vehicles at Lower Rates- Extended through June 30!!
Event Description

Mass Energy and People's Power & Light are offering a discount and rebate program that allows people to buy an electric vehicle from a standard dealer at a lower, pre-negotiated rate.

Deadline alert: This program ends February 28, 2017

Widespread adoption of electric cars is necessary to solve the problem of climate change. In addition, EVs are cheaper to drive per mile than gasoline and require less maintenance. They're a win for consumers and the environment, and the Drive Green discounts make them even more affordable.

Electric vehicles (EVs) are ready today. Through the Drive Green with People's Power & Light (RI) and Drive Green with Mass Energy (MA) programs, you can purchase or lease an EV at a discounted price.

Modeled on buyers group energy programs and similar initiatives in Colorado and Utah, Drive Green is free to use and allows anyone to purchase or lease an EV or plug-in hybrid EV (PHEV) at a pre-negotiated discounted price at one of participating dealers for the program duration of November 2nd through February 28.

On top of the deep discounts available through Drive Green, the cars qualify for federal tax credits that reduce tax liability by up to $7500 and state rebates (make sure to read up on restrictions) of up to $2500. Economically, EVs make sense today.

How to participate:

-Sign up for the program by filling out a simple form
-One or more of our participating dealers (depending on your vehicle preferences) will call you to answer your questions and schedule a test-drive.
-Purchase or lease an electric vehicle at the pre-negotiated discount price before the deal’s expiration date.
