Event Description

Built Positive Webinar: Google’s Healthy Materials Moonshot

When: Tue, Feb 28, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST

Google is leading the movement from transparency to optimization in its approach to healthy materials selection for its own worldwide real estate portfolio. Embracing the challenge to serve at the scale at which Google’s Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) group operates resulted in the creation of Portico, an online evaluation platform developed in partnership with Healthy Building Network (HBN).

After a period of successful internal testing on Google design and construction projects (250 Google projects, which led to more than 5,000 manufacturers participating and a database of over 2,600 scored products), Google has made the Portico tool available to a handful of additional partners who are beta testing the possibility of broader use by industry.

Join Built Positive on this webinar to learn more, including how Google establishes its values and priorities around human health and informs its decisions for choosing healthy materials based on reliable and transparent data. Content will feature a demonstration of the Portico tool, and insight on next steps.

Built Positive principles addressed include: Material Health, Circular Design, and Value Chain Collaboration.

This webinar has been pre-approved for 1.0 GBCI CEU, 1.0 AIA LU and 1.0 IDCEC CEU. You will have the opportunity to provide your numbers as part of the post-event survey to have your participation reported or may opt to self-report.
