Commissioning is usually a cost-effective way to get your facility’s equipment and systems operating at topnotch performance. It can save energy and improve equipment life, as well as occupant comfort. During this course, we’ll define and outline the retro-commissioning and commission processes. We’ll share the relevant information you need to know to take the first steps toward self-performed commissioning with a focus on HVAC and building automation control systems. Trade secrets will be revealed and real-world commissioning success stories, in a variety of facility types and sizes, will be examined. The barriers and benefits of commissioning will also be explained, as well as ASHRAE commissioning standards and guidelines.

As a result of this course, you will be able to:
Define commissioning and retro-commissioning.
Determine where to begin the commissioning process and what is inspected.
Describe the steps that need to be taken to commission equipment.
Explain how to find glitches in building automation system controls.
Discuss the costs and benefits of commissioning.
Explain ASHRAE commissioning standards and guidelines.

Who should attend?
Maintenance and operations personnel, building owners, facility managers and engineers, energy efficiency specialists, energy and sustainability managers, property managers, architects, engineers, utility representatives and anyone interested in commissioning.
