Hear about the International Well Building Institute's WELL Building Standard, and learn how we can better design and construct our buildings to positively impact the health and wellness of its occupants.

This event is co-sponsored by USGBC Central Plains Wichita Branch and IFMA Wichita.

Our presenter, Sara Greenwood, LEED-AP, BD+C, and WELL AP, of Greenwood Consulting is a sustainability consultant with over 14 years of experience. She is also the Immediate Past Chair of the USGBC Central Plains community, serving two years in that position.

This seminar will explore the fundamentals of the WELL Building Standard, the benefits of pursuing certification and identify strategies for optimizing performance. Preconditions of each of the 7 Concepts of WELL will be addressed and case examples of WELL certified offices and buildings will be shared. There will be time for Q&A at the end of the presentation and resources to learn more about WELL will also be provided.

Course Objectives:

To provide an overview of the WELL Building Standard
To explain the benefits of designing healthy work environments
To identify strategies for achieving healthy building performance
Provide case examples of WELL Certified buildings or offices and seek additional resources to learn more about the Well Building Standard.
A light lunch will be provided.
