Event Description

AIA Connecticut serves the architectural profession, encourages design excellence, and works to improve society through a concern for the quality of the built and natural environments.

This conference will be featuring over fifty underwriters and sponsors representing a variety of products and services.

KEYNOTE ADDRESS

Conserving Kahn: An Illustration of the Cogitation, Consternation andRevelation of the Recent Conservation of the Yale Center for British Art

George Knight, AIA of Knight Architecture, New Haven

George Knight, AIA formed Knight Architecture LLC, an award-winning architectural practice, in 2004. He serves as
Principal overseeing all projects. Prior to this, George was a Senior Associate with Cesar Pelli & Associates in New Haven where he worked for ten years, serving as project team leader for a variety of domestic and international projects.

George graduated from the Yale School of Architecture where he won the drawing prize and where he teaches advanced design studio and classes in visualization. In 2015, he won the School’s Professor King-Lui Wu Teaching Award. He serves on New Haven’s Historic District Commission, the Board of Governors at the Ivy Club in Princeton, the Board of Directors of the Foote School in New Haven and the Board of Directors for the International Festival of Arts and Ideas.

Up to 6 CE credits (most of which are HSW)
Conference attendees are entitled to attend, free of charge, one of the Procrastinator’s Special's (December 7 or 8 ) and to earn an additional 5 CE credits.
