Event Description

The 17th annual Green Schools Conference (GSC) will be held February 8-10, 2027 at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, Texas.

A green school is about more than curriculum and more than bricks and mortar. It’s a school where the community works together to support global sustainability and climate action. A green school prepares students to lead the world toward a healthier, cleaner, more sustainable future.

Each year, the GSC brings together a national community of educators, school leaders, designers and advocates committed to whole-school sustainability. From inspiring sessions and expert panels to meaningful networking opportunities, the GSC is where green school leaders unite to drive progress.

The 2027 event will feature two days of inspiring sessions, expert-led workshops, and dynamic networking opportunities, followed by optional post-conference tours, which offer attendees a chance to explore sustainability in action at local schools and organizations across the Austin area.

Join education and sustainability leaders from across the country to connect, learn, and advance the movement for healthier, more equitable, and more sustainable schools.

This year, they are building an innovative and inspiring experience for educators, school and district leaders, building industry professionals, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders to share successful strategies, lessons learned, and practical solutions.
