2026 Wagdy Anis Symposium on Building Science, June 25, Boston, Massachusetts
Event Description
Off-Site Construction of the Building Enclosure: Precision, Performance, and Scalability
The Boston Society of Architects (BSA) and Building Enclosure Council (BEC-Boston) present the 2026 Wagdy Anis Symposium on Building Science, honouring the legacy of Wagdy Anis FAIA and his enduring impact on high-performance enclosure design.
This year’s theme, Off-Site Construction of the Building Enclosure: Precision, Performance, and Scalability, focuses on the role of prefabricated and modular enclosure systems in meeting increasingly rigorous energy, durability, and climate performance goals. As codes such as the Massachusetts Stretch Energy Code continue to evolve, off-site construction offers new opportunities for improved quality control, airtightness, thermal performance, and construction efficiency.
The in-person symposium will feature expert presentations, panel discussions, and case studies, with AIA LU/HSW continuing education credits available.
Non-BSA Members: $250
Emerging Professionals: $100
