The Road Map to Carbon Neutral for Massachusetts
Event Description

A Webinar Sponsored by MetroWest Climate Solutions and Mass Audubon

Legislation currently in the Massachusetts House of Representatives lays out a road map for Massachusetts to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. The bill, H3983, calls for interim carbon reductions of 50 percent by 2030 and 75 percent by 2040, with protections for environmental justice communities. The webinar will discuss what you can do to get H3983 passed.

Representative Joan Meschino, the lead sponsor of this bill, will discuss the legislation and answer questions. Meschino is the State Representative for the 3rd Plymouth District (Cohasset, Hingham, Hull and North Scituate). Alexandra Vecchio, Climate Change Program Director for Mass Audubon, will moderate the webcast. Metrowest Climate Solutions and Mass Audubon are sponsoring the webinar.
