Pushing Passive: Affordable Housing Forges the Way for High Performance, January 25
Event Description

The Conservatory Apartments will be completed in February 2024. Once it is fully certified, it will be the largest Phius Certified Multi-Unit building in the city. Embracing both the then new 2019 Building Code which allowed a 4 story wood frame and new incentives in the State’s Qualified Action Plan (QAP) for Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) a course was charted to balance economics with delivering high performance.

Come and learn about:

1. How the team was able to implement the latest building code for economic tradeoffs.

2. Iterative high performance envelope design process, including a deep dive into wall section details.

3. WUFI Model do and don’t’s

In-Person Building Tour | 3:30 - 4:30 PM CT

Later, join in person, on a tour of the project later in the afternoon to see the end product and hear from the General Contractor about the construction process.
