Understanding Mass Solar Incentives; SRECs to SMART - Sustainability Forum Luncheon: Oct 4 in Beverly
Event Description

Massachusetts has one of the most successful solar electricity environments in the country. Much of that success has been due to the Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC) production incentive program. That program is ending on March 31, 2018 in favor of the Solar Massachusetts Renewable Tariff (SMART) program. That transition will involve a shift in the focus, the amounts and mechanisms of the solar incentives. This program will examine those changes and the likely impacts to the state’s solar customers, electricity ratepayers and the environment.

Speaker: Bob Morton, Design Consultant, ReVision Energy

Bob has been in the solar electricity industry since 2008. His recent work at ReVision Energy has been designing solar electric and other renewable energy systems including working with multiple iterations of the Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC) program in addition to other incentives. Bob has a high-tech background in computer hardware, navigation, software and test equipment. He has had 2 solar electricity systems and is working on the installation of heat pumps for space heating and cooling as well as water heating.

Host: ReVision Energy
