Event Description

An electric vehicle owner shares his enthusiasm for Electric Vehicles and his fascination with the present and future of driving electric. He tells the story behind the current EV comeback and describes the roles the alternating current motor and battery technologies play in advancing electric mobility.

An introduction to the infrastructure used to charge EVs both at home and on the road prefaces a summary of the five Alpha issues the Presenter believes will influence the long-term success of EVs: Advocacy by Governments & Others, Awareness of Environmental Impacts, Autonomous (Self) Driving, Alternatives in Transport and Acceptance by Shaping the Public Attitude.
