Event Description

Soulardarity of Highland Park hosts an annual bus tour. This year's tour features local organizations focused on growing and building capacity in Highland Park, MI . Avalon Village, Ryter Cooperative Industries, and Parker Village will share examples of their work on critical sustainability projects that have been on the front line in the greening of Metro Detroit. This includes solar initiatives, green housing initiatives, and efforts to address energy injustice. This network is strategically positioning itself as worldwide leader for green community solutions and self-determination in their community. Big steps are being made to make Highland Park a more environmentally conscious place. Working together, managed green spaces are improving the community’s social, economic and environmental health. By promoting education and sustainability to empower the community, we are striving to solve economic, social and environmental problems.
