Smart City Expo Miami® is an international innovation platform to promote educational, business, and media initiatives to create a better future for citizens, communities and cities around the world produced by Smart Cities Americas LLC, a Florida Corporation.

Three connected Smart City Expo Miami® events have been planned. Two virtual events will happen i n December, 2020 and i n April, 2021, and an i n-person event in September, 2021, at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, FL.

The City of Miami is in the midst of transitioning i nto a global city. It i s the 4º largest city with the highest growth i n 2020 i n the U.S, one of the most i mportant cities i n the world, and a Gateway to the Americas. Smart City Expo Miami® invites citizens, communities, and cities to drive changes towards quality of life, health, well-being, happiness, safety and privacy. Representatives from cities, countries, local, national and international technical bodies, non-governmental organizations, corporations, startups and entrepreneurs are i nvited to participate.

The Smart City Expo Miami® l aunches the C-Movement, where participants will choose their role: Citizen, Community or City. The events will engage and empower these actors and discuss i ssues such as: citizens' activity i n communities’ lives, education for a more sustainable world and a circular economy model, how can communities’ empowerment, technology to respond citizens and communities endeavour, population participation in city’s life with their happiness in mind.

 

Join this 2-day virtual Smart Cities event from the comfort of your home or office.

On the first day, yhis experience will take place through keynotes and presentations with speakers of great relevance in their areas of expertise related to smart cities. 

On the second day, participate in networking oppportunities with CIO’s, media professionals and startups.

  • “ 20 Cities Experiences by Smart Disruptors” present discussion and analysis related to Sustainability, Resilience and Circular Economy;
  • A 2-days event that will be highlighted by 50+ disruptive speakers of great relevance i n their areas of expertise i n TED Talks-style presentations and otherinteractions around i nternational cities experiences;
  • CIO’s, Media’s and Startups’ exclusive rooms;
  • Quick and easy access to relevant books related to the Smart Cities in our official virtual bookstore;
  • A Media Hub created to boost of specialized media news on communities and cities, stimulating urban situation awareness, promoting i nteraction with the local community, raising consciousness of the i mportance of urban planning, encouraging the use of the circular economy, and stimulating Public Private Partnerships i n i nfrastructure with the incentive of the adoption of state-of-the-art technology related to 5G and IoT.
  • The C-movement will continue through our platforms keeping the discussion and the sharing of new and i nnovative i deas, making the connection to the nextin-person event.

April 21-22, 2021:

  • Discussions related to sustainability, resilience, and citizens well being;
  • A 2-day event where participants will have the opportunity to get to know new experiences and practices from different parts of the world and will continue the discussion on how we can engage and empower citizens, communities and cities to implement these experiences in practical and effective ways;
  • International conferences from top mind professionals i n the Smart Cities field;
  • Exhibition of innovative products and services to i mprove the quality of l ife, well being, happiness and care of our environment;
  • Direct opportunity to connect with speakers and business, and take this experience to their own l ives, communities and cities;
  • The Media Hub continues to i ncrease the media participation and conscientization about communities and cities, and the Smart Cities topics focusing on this event on citizens and the Earth environment.

September 22th-23th-24th, 2021

  • “ Cities as Innovation Platforms ” will engage 200+ cities, 85+ countries, 100+ speakers, and 30+ side events i n the Exhibition hall;
  • A 3-day event will engage participants i n six i nnovation focus areas: Digital Transformation, Urban Environment, Mobility, Governance & Finance, Smart Destination, and Inclusive & Sharing Cities;
  • The Media Hub will be enlightened with a Newsroom style physical space at the Knight Center, exclusive for media professionals dedicated to the Smart Cities and cities matters.
