Event Description

The College of the Holy Cross will host the Spring 2018 WasteWise Forum. The WasteWise Forum, which is a joint program run by RecyclingWorks in Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, will focus on two topics:

Materials recovery facility (MRF) updates for businesses with a focus on increasing material quality and reducing contamination
Corporate/Institutional Office Furniture and Equipment Reuse Best Management Practices
Learn how your business can improve recycling quality and reduce contamination to help insure your recyclables are marketable. Attendees will provide input on the steps corporate and institutional entities can take to maximize opportunities for reusing furniture to help develop guidance that will be posted to the RecyclingWorks website. The EPA will also recognize 2017 National WasteWise and Food Recovery Challenge award winners from Massachusetts.

There will be opportunities to network with local businesses, furniture and equipment reuse service providers, and local MRF operators. Stay tuned for the complete agenda.
