Event Description

New England Women in Energy and the Environment (NEWIEE) is pleased to announce its fourth annual “Women Shaping the Agenda” series titled “New England’s Climate Readiness: Diverse Voices on Adaptation and Resilience.” This event will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the UMASS Lowell Inn and Conference Center.

The evening will feature:

Keynote Speaker, Katie Theoharides, Assistant Secretary of Climate Change, Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs
The panel discussion will be Moderated by Penni McLean-Conner, Chief Customer Officer and Senior Vice President of Customer Group, Eversource Energy (2016 NEWIEE Achievement Awardee)

Panelists include:

· Alison Brizius, Director of Climate and Environmental Planning, City of Boston
· Elizabeth Turnbull Henry, President, Environmental League of Massachusetts
· Katherine Kemen, Program Manager, Emergency Preparedness, Partners HeathCare System
· Ellen Miller, Vice President, Projects, AVANGRID Networks

Please join them at 5:00 PM for a welcome reception with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and networking. The speakers and discussion will kick-off at 6:00 PM and will be followed by more networking until 8:30 PM.
