Event Description

The Annual Green Building Tour will feature Spire’s new office space at 700 Market in St. Louis. The re-purposed Postmodern building which is on the National Register of Historic Places, received LEED Gold certification in summer 2016.

Green design and construction features at Spire include: use of materials with low-volatile organic compounds and recycled building materials, energy-saving LED lighting throughout the building, an automated window shade system that adjusts based on light, season and room usage, water conservation efforts such as water bottle filling stations and water efficient faucets, water purification system, lighting that maximizes daylight and adjusts based on room usage, diversion of more than half of the construction waste from landfills, and strong internal recycling protocols.
