Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Intro to WELL Building Standard, Online Course, August 28, 12 - 2 pm
Event Description
This course provides an overview of the WELL Building Standard ideology, structure, and certification process. Participants will learn the medical basis for the seven concept categories, including: Air, Water, Nourishment, Light, Fitness, Comfort, and Mind. Design and construction strategies to create healthy buildings will additionally be covered. Finally, participants will learn how to reinvent buildings that are better for both people and the planet, using the WELL Building Standard as the framework. This course is intended for building industry professionals. It will be held virtually and is a combination of presentation and discussion.
Learning Objectives -
1. Upon completion, participants will be able to articulate the financial, societal, and environmental benefits of WELL certification.
2. Participants will be able to identify the role of the International Well Building Institute and the WELL Building Standard in reinventing buildings that are better for both people and the planet.
3. Participants will be able to recognize the structure of the WELL Building Standard and summarize the certification process.
4. Participants will be able to explain the seven concepts of the WELL Building Standard, the strategies to achieve them, and the health impacts they address.
