Free Webinar: DIY Storm Window Insert Kits - Affordable Comfort, Quiet, and Energy Savings, August 12, 12 pm ET
Event Description

This presentation introduces the concept, development, assembly methods, applications, and market potential of the DIY Storm Window Kit — an affordable and scalable approach to improving home comfort and energy efficiency without replacing existing windows.

Participants will learn how a DIY Storm Window Kit was developed, the real-world problems it addresses, and the multiple markets it serves, including energy savings, sound reduction, draft reduction, and seasonal comfort improvement. The course will explore kit components, assembly simplicity, expected affordability, performance advantages, and future distribution possibilities.

The webinar will address common consumer questions, including any challenges to installation, availability, and options for individuals who are not naturally “DIY-oriented.”

The overall focus is on energy efficiency, affordability, scalability, sustainability, and practical implementation for homeowners, renters, organizations, and communities.

Learning Lessons -

1. Understand that the DIY Storm Window Kit can significantly improve health outcomes by enhancing indoor air quality and comfort through better thermal performance and reduction of outdoor noise and drafts.

2. Analyze the safety benefits of the DIY Storm Window Kit, which can help to prevent accidents and injuries associated with cold weather by maintaining a more stable indoor temperature and minimizing the risk of ice accumulation on windows.

3. Introduce the concept of empowerment through the DIY Storm Window Kit, as it provides individuals and communities with an affordable solution for improving home welfare, thus contributing to overall quality of life and economic savings.

4. Articulate the importance of scalability in the DIY Window Insert Kit initiative, which presents opportunities for self-employment and local service provision, thereby enhancing community welfare and supporting veterans in gaining meaningful employment.
