Event Description

Best Practices for Lighting Offices covers lighting considerations as work environments and office layouts evolve, and it describes the use of LEDs and control strategies. It includes a review of the most recent recommended practice document from the IES (RP-1-12), introduces you to tools for assessing and managing glare, and reviews standards relating to health and well-being. This class features an overview of office lighting products, with a discussion of their features and what to look for in the spec sheets and documentation.

    • Bringing 15 years of experience in the lighting industry, Faith Jewell is currently a national accounts representative at Wiedenbach Brown. She has developed and implemented lighting designs solutions for office environments and laboratory facilities throughout the western United States and Canada. She brings a nuanced understanding of what it takes to develop "good" lighting for working including visual comfort, productivity, health considerations, and even considerations of how lighting is part of an employee retention tool. She has been the lead designer in a number of lighting projects for laboratory and testing facilities.
