SustainaVille Wind & Solar Tour with handmade candy tasting
Event Description

Join a free tour of wind & solar generators at Mount St. Mary's Abbey in Wrentham, MA.

Saturday, April 28th - 10:30am
Drive yourself, or take our free bus from Somerville High School Atrium - leaving at 9:30am.

This event is being hosted to celebrate local renewable energy and Somerville's Sustainaville week! The tour is free and open to the public, but centers on the impact that Somerville and other communities are making through Green Municipal Aggregation (Community Choice Electricity) programs.

The Abbey is home to an order of Cistercian nuns who believe in stewardship of the earth and who operate a handmade candy business to support the Abbey. We'll get to sample some of their delicious candy after the tour! (Bring a little money if you'd like to buy some).

Transportation: You can drive yourself, or take our bus. The bus will run from Somerville High School Atrium to the event. The bus will leave the lot between the high school (by the gymnasium) and the library at 9:30am and return by or before 2pm. Bus rides are free! You do NOT have to be a Somerville resident to attend or to ride the bus.

If you choose to drive yourself, free parking is available.

If you have any questions, please contact greenreply@massenergy.org or call 800-287-2950 x5.
