Free Webinar, Water Rights and Scarcity: From Global to Local,
Event Description

This session will explore the global and local perspectives of water stewardship. Together, the panelists will discuss their visions for the future of water stewardship and how it’s an opportunity to advance resilient communities and a healthy environment. Bringing an international perspective, panelists will discuss key high-level takeaways from the United Nations Water Conference on water rights, reuse, and recharge, the first such summit held by the UN in nearly 50 years.

The objective of this course is that at the conclusion, participants will be able to:

  • Identify three major takeaways from the United Nations Water Conference
  • Define water scarcity as a term used by the United Nations
  • Name five or more multi-stakeholder groups working on water conservation initiatives at the state- and local level
  • Describe the concept of a holistic water stewardship strategy for California
