Event Description

“In 2010, President Toni Preckwinkle took office as President of Cook County. She convened an advisory council of industry professionals to set forth goals and objectives to make Cook County a world-class model for sustainability. The County has rapidly accelerated towards that leadership goal, highlighted by a 32% carbon emission reduction for building energy use since 2010. This was accomplished through numerous projects focused on capturing the “low hanging fruit” of energy efficiency. As the journey continues, and with numerous global reports emphasizing the need for immediate action to combat the effects of climate change, come find out what Cook County Sustainability 2.0 will look like."
