The Emerging Green Professionals’ (EGP) executive committee is proud to present our next event: “Young Sustainability Professionals Speaker Panel”, aimed at helping students, new graduates and emerging professionals in the sustainability sector discover effective ways of building their personal career brand, networking and making connections, getting their foot in the door, and most importantly, successfully establishing and advancing their careers in this sector.
This speaker panel will feature 4 young professionals currently working in the sustainability sector who have successfully navigated their way into their respective positions at reputable companies who are doing great work in various fields - such as green building construction, renewable energy, and sustainability consulting.

Panel discussion will include topics like:
How to discover your personal strengths and career interests
Importance of networking and mentorships
Advice for professional development
Essential skills and attributes needed to succeed at the job
Common career paths in the field
Lessons learned and general career advice
And more!

    • Anureet Kaur, Business Operations Analyst at Internat Energy Solutions Canada

      Anureet works in the Greenhouse Gas Accounting team where she conducts policy research and analysis, internal peer reviews for Greenhouse Gas Verification projects and leads all the marketing and stakeholder engagement sessions for the company. She pursued her Master of Science in Sustainability Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Toronto. Anureet has working knowledge of carbon pricing and how it works in a specific province and is currently serving on the Program Advisory Committee for Seneca College’s Green Business Management Program.


      Matthew Tokarik, Building Energy Consultant & Certified Passive House Consultant

      Matthew is a building energy consultant and Certified Passive House Consultant whose technical experience includes the application and implementation of Passive House design strategy, creation and calibration of whole building energy models for new and existing buildings, assessment of existing building energy performance, and application and management of energy incentive programs, code compliance, and building certification. Recent experience includes energy and carbon studies on various institutional, commercial, and residential projects. Matthew is currently the Passive House consultant for a seven-story mixed use facility in downtown Vancouver targeting Passive House Certification.
