Event Description

This EBC Energy Resources program will provide a status report on the development of solar power across New England. Because it is catalyzed by state government public policy initiatives, new solar project development is “patchy”, with some states developing faster than others. The New England states are a microcosm for how solar is developing across the country, and this program intends to provide updates on the different incentives and recent development trends in our region.

The presenters will address solar development patterns in New England with perspectives provided by different industry players including state energy agencies, private developer, industry advocate, and the regional grid operator. Specific issues to be addressed include siting and permitting, policy incentives to direct development, working with utilities, the evolution of state solar policy over time, and lessons learned.
