Event Description

How far has Vermont come in expanding energy generated by solar panels, and how far can we go? Join Joey Dorwart Crane to learn how solar energy plays into Vermont’s grid, from residential rooftop arrays to large solar farms. Joey will discuss the benefits versus limitations of off-grid systems, and learn what it would mean for all Vermont residents to have more solar tying into our grid. Joey has worked in the solar industry since 2007 and is a NABCEP-certified photovoltaic installer. He currently works at SunCommon and will teach a Solar Design & Installation course at Yestermorrow this upcoming summer. Linger after the talk to ask Joey questions and enjoy treats from the YesterKitchen! This free, public event is part of Yestermorrow's spring Speaker Series, running February through May 2019 on select Thursdays.
