Event Description

The Design + Practice Exchange (DPE) is a one-and-a-half-day symposium of compelling conversations and design presentations centering on the voices of women in architecture. The Women in Architecture Committee of AIA New York and the Boston Society for Architecture Women in Design are co-hosting this event with the theme “Navigating the [Post] Pandemic Terrain.”

The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the design field dramatically. Our practices have been directly impacted, from workplace wellness to economics to changing design criteria, forcing us to evolve in ways we could not have foreseen. The DPE will reflect on lessons learned from the pandemic experience and explore ideas for more equitable, resilient, socially, and environmentally sustainable future practices.
