RecyclingWorks in Massachusetts is hosting a no-cost Practical Skills Compost Workshop with emphasis on composting food materials. This half-day workshop will focus on operator competency in compost site management, in-field operations, and recipe development.

This workshop is geared towards:

Food materials composting operations registered with MDAR or MassDEP
Municipal operators
Small scale site operators
Other interested parties considering starting a compost site and accepting off-site food materials
The workshop will be led by James McSweeney of Compost Technical Services and Adam Martin from Martin’s Farm Compost and Mulch. All interested parties are encouraged to register but priority will be given to compost site operators in Massachusetts that are currently accepting food materials or planning to begin accepting food materials.
