Event Description

Open House of Passive House in Construction at Little Birds Farm.
Saturday, February 4, 2017, 1:30 pm.
72 Hartwood Club Road, Sparrowbush, NY.

Please join Jeremy Shannon, passive house architect and builder, as he gives a tour of the construction progress of his new Passive House home in Orange County NY near Port Jervis. The rough systems are in place and the drywall is not yet up so it is a great time to see what makes up the walls and visually understand the difference between a Passive House and standard construction.

Features include: Proclima Intello Plus air barrier, Zehnder ComfoAir Enthalpy Recovery Ventilation system, Roxul batt and rigid board insulated walls, Type IX Eps above floor slab insulation, cellulose loose fill roof insulation, integrated solar on metal standing seam roof, Klearwall PH certified windows/doors, whole house toilet composting system, dual flush toilets, motion sensor faucets, grey water separation, and a sandbag root cellar.

This is a NY Passive House Meet Up; for more information and to find out how to get there, please click on the link below and join the Meet Up for free.
