Event Description

This program is for high school teachers who want to improve their own understanding of green building principles and strategies in order to better prepare students for green jobs. Teachers will be prepared to pass the LEED Green Associate exam using a curriculum they can deliver in their classrooms.

The cost of the course includes eight live sessions, online textbook, curriculum, and registration for the LEED Green Associate exam. Participants will attend the course during January-March 2022, and take the exam (at a time of their own choosing) between April-July 2022.

The sessions will include a mix of instruction and peer learning with fellow teachers, as well as independent reading prior to each session. Each participant will receive the "LEED Green Associate Exam Preparation Guide, LEED v4 Edition" which will be used to prepare for the exam, and plan strategies to engage students with green building concepts and career paths.
