Along with the MIT Solve Opening Convocation
Monday, October 5, 2015, 1-6:30 pm

The MIT Climate CoLab is a community of over 40,000 people, where experts and non-experts work together to develop proposals to address climate change.

Join us at Crowds & Climate, where we bring together leaders from businesses, non-profit organizations, governments and communities around the world to advance an online global problem-solving effort to tackle climate change.

This year's program is tied closely with Solve, MIT's new cross-disciplinary leadership program, which is holding its inaugural event this same week. Those attending Crowds & Climate are invited to participate in Solve's opening convocation and reception on Monday afternoon, and also will join Solve's Tuesday afternoon sessions.

Seeking Volunteers for Crowds and Climate Conference, Oct 6, 2015

The Crowds and Climate Conference, co-sponsored by four groups at MIT (the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence, MITEI, Sloan Sustainability Initiative and the Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change), seeks volunteers on Tuesday, October 6 (full day).

Two roles are available:

*Registration desk help from 7am-8am
*General conference help from 7am-7:30pm

Volunteers will have an opportunity to attend the conference for free and network with the presenters and attendees. Panel topics will showcase the 2015 Climate CoLab winners, which have novel ideas in the fields of reducing consumption, building efficiency, land use, waste management, transportation, industry, changing public attitudes toward climate change, geoengineering, and climate change adaptation.

If interested, please email mrich@mit.edu with the times of your availability, your cell phone number, and for which role you would like to volunteer. Opportunity available on a first-come, first-served basis.
