Net Zero Energy Building Code
Event Description

On Tuesday, May 7th, from 10 am-1 pm, the Board of Building Regulation and Standards (BBRS) is holding a public comment opportunity to hear from the public about the changes we want for building codes in MA.

Mass CLimate Action Network (MCAN) and others are using this opportunity to continue our fight to make building codes better for everyone - which starts with advocating for a Net Zero stretch code in Massachusetts. A Net Zero building code is not only an important step towards achieving our climate goals, but will also make buildings safer, more comfortable, and more equitable for communities across the Commonwealth.

What: Board of Building Standard and Regulations (BBRS) Hearing
When: Tuesday, May 7th, 10 am-1pm
Where: 1000 Washington St, Boston MA 02118

Whether you're a climate activist or a town official passionate about changing the way we build buildings for the better, the BBRS needs to hear why a Net Zero code is crucial for your community. RSVP to join MCAN on May 7th to tell the BBRS why we want a Net Zero stretch code NOW.

If you are interested in getting more involved on our Better Buildings Campaign, submitting a letter to the BBRS on behalf of your department or committee, or have any questions, please get in touch with rebecca@massclimateaction.net.

You can add your name to our organizational sign-on letter in favor of a Net Zero stretch code here.
