Event Description

Join USGBC for a deep-dive on LEED v4 pilot alternative compliance path (ACP) for Whole Project Water Use Reduction, a performance-based pathway for teams to demonstrate reductions in water consumption using whole-building water balance modeling.

Depending on the building type and use, LEED may not previously have addressed all water use within a project boundary. With LEED v4 pilot ACP 115: Whole Project Water Use Reduction, project teams consider all water sources and uses typically associated with the project type, location, building, and site, develop a baseline for total water demand and document efficiency strategies that reduce consumption in a proposed water balance model. Design teams have the opportunity to earn 10 points in the LEED Water Efficiency credit category by documenting a 65% percentage reduction in overall water use against the baseline.

This recorded webinar will explore the pilot ACP technical development and requirements, share tips and tricks for successful documentation from GBCI reviewers, and provide key insights for developing a water balance model using a LEED project case study. Attendance is critical for sustainability practitioners interested in learning more about holistic water management in LEED and the pilot development process.
