Event Description

Thinking about going solar? Join the Illinois Green Alliance and Citizens Utility Board (CUB) to learn about the basics of solar and its financial implications for a household. You’ll also learn about a solar group buy program called Solarize Chicagoland run by CUB.

Residents throughout Cook, Kane, DuPage, and Will counties have an opportunity to participate in Solarize Chicagoland, a grassroots program combining volume purchasing with community education to make solar more accessible and affordable. Solarize Chicagoland has a deadline of September 30, 2019, to decide to get solar through the program. In addition to discussing this opportunity, they also be talking about the changes in Illinois that have led to the solar boom we are currently experiencing, and other programs including Community Solar.

This webinar is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about residential solar and renewable energy. Energy Efficiency Ambassadors are required to attend this webinar as part of their volunteer training. This webinar is part three of a three part webinar series highlighting green home and energy efficiency programs.
