Free Webinar: Intermediate Lighting – Upgrading Lighting in Commercial Spaces, January 31
Event Description

This seminar provides an overview of the lighting retrofit process structured around IES LP-9-20. The class opens with an introduction to lighting in existing buildings and the role energy and sustainability goals play in lighting retrofits. Attendees will see how existing facilities differ from new construction and learn about how to scope projects according to site-specific constraints while complying with code, including both lighting hardware and control hardware.

The objective of this course is that at the conclusion, participants will be able to:

  • Measure current lighting conditions for a space
  • Analyze equipment alternatives and strategies making use of IES LP-9-20
  • Compare energy-saving lighting upgrades for particular applications
  • Propose lighting system changes so lighting is improved using less energy
