Free Webinar: Intermediate Lighting – Lighting Maintenance, February 7
Event Description

Lighting maintenance is important to consider at the planning stages of a new lighting project since it impacts so much of the operation and labor costs of a building over time. This class covers what to consider for maintaining a lighting system in large buildings, including product selection, staffing and training and management of lighting controls. We describe a typical lighting and controls system and how to design to minimize maintenance with best practices.

The objective of this course is that at the conclusion, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the benefits of planned maintenance to lighting projects.
  • Describe typical lighting and control system behavior in terms of how it relates to maintenance.
  • Design lighting and controls systems to minimize maintenance requirements.
  • Recommend maintenance best practices consistent with IES/NALMCO RP-36-20
