Conversations on Construction - If You BUILD It, They Will Come
Event Description

Energy efficiency and affordable housing are topics du jour, especially in Los Angeles.  Seemingly unrelated at first glance, can progress be made in these two spaces together?

Join Hunt Ortmann attorneys Kathlynn Smith and Jennifer Tung, and the Los Angeles chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council on October 15, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. as they discuss California's Building Initiative for Low-Emissions Development (BUILD) program and its twin goals of creating more affordable housing and increasing energy efficiency.  During this webinar, we will discuss:

  • California’s latest implementation plan for the BUILD program;
  • Potential ambiguities to watch out for and be aware of; and
  • Contract provisions that will help you best manage potential risks.

Come find out the who, what, when, where, and why of BUILD, before California starts accepting applications.
