Did you know that Rockwool is actually made out of volcanically derived rock - basalt from the earth’s crust and recycled steel slag?

Join Matt Hoots of Sawhorse Design, Inc. and Dan Edelman of Rockwool to learn more about Rockwool's insulating products

Rockwool's stone (or mineral) wool leverages 7 strengths inherent in the properties of stone wool:

  • Fire resilience
  • Temperature maintenance
  • Acoustic capabilities
  • Durability
  • Aesthetics
  • Water repellence, resistance also to mold and mildew
  • Circularity/reuse

Is Rockwool like a flannel jacket for your home?  How would this work?  Can you use Rockwool inside of your home or on the roof?  (Yes.)  Listen in and find out more!

One of the main reasons that I wanted to go to the 2020 IBS was to talk to Rockwool to learn more about their insulation on the outside of the house details. I was not dissapointed and made some friends along the way.
