Congratulations to Rate It Green Member Zero Energy Design!  ZED was recently recognized by the American Association of Architects (AIA) for being one of only 27 US architectural firms where a 70% or greater Energy Use Intensity (EUI) savings was achieved across the entire firm's portfolio in 2019.

The AIA 2030 Commitment program supports the AIA 2030 Challenge, which calls for all new construction and major renovations to be carbon neutral by 2030. All 549 active 2030 Challenge signatories track and report their annual progress against increasing energy reduction targets.

For 2019, ZED reported an impressive 97.9% reduction in pEUI savings across its entire architectural portfolio, achieving the targeted 70% carbon reduction for the ninth consecutive year.

Submitted projects for 2019 accounted for an overall pEUI reduction equivalent to avoiding 20.2 million tons of CO2 emissions.
