The U.S. Green Building Council and EcoRise Youth Innovations invite high school teachers and administrators interested in learning more about the green building industry to attend a FREE workshop and tour of the largest gathering of green building companies: Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, taking place in Boston this fall. Attendees will learn about a new high school curricular program, LEED Prep, and how they can prepare their students for careers in the booming green building industry. The workshop will include an overview of the content in the 7-module program, how each module connects to curriculum standards and various trades, and more about how to prepare students for the LEED Green Associate exam – a credential that showcases knowledge, experience and credibility in the green building marketplace. Additional resources will be shared to help teachers connect sustainability and green building to the classroom. After the workshop, attendees will explore the Greenbuild 2017 expo hall for FREE, an experience that will impress any building enthusiast. Greenbuild is the world's largest conference and expo dedicated to green building, and is taking place at the Boston Convention Center from November 8-10. The expo will feature more than one thousand vendors and service providers, including many local companies. Teachers and school administrators are invited to two free opportunities - choose the one or both that meet your needs: Wednesday, November 8th, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM LEED & green building curriculum workshop for educators and administrators & free expo hall tour* Thursday, November 9th, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM Student green career panel & free expo hall tour* *Transportation to these events is the responsibility of the school.
