Educating rural communities

Has anyone had any experience in educating rural communities in the use of sustainable design techniques and construction technologies?

Hi Louwrens - We will promote this great question and work to get you some answers from someone with experience. I thought this piece might be helpful? http://green.wikia.com/wiki/Sustainable_housing_for_rural_families_in_Africa (It says this url may change to wikia.com in the next weeks.) I also thought this organization might be able to provide some advice? https://www.ruralco.org/about-ruralco They may be able to offer advice, or they may know who works on rural sustainable building in your area. I also thought of a Rate It Green member in Indonesia - https://www.rateitgreen.com/green-building-community/sustainable-building-users/dashboard/profile/Anna+at+Dome+Lombok/3441 "Dome Projects Lombok is a company creating sustainable concepts within house construction, water management and food production. Through the construction of Eco-domes, made mainly with compacted soil and lime stone, we are pushing boundaries in sustainable housing construction without neglecting quality and comfort." You can send Anna a message through Rate It Green, or I can reach out to her if you'd like. I am pretty sure that a percentage of their work is about teaching others to make the same structures.
