Forum: New MIT Study — "The Future of Solar Energy"!
Bonus Forum: "Defining Solar's Value"!

BASEA is pleased to introduce Dr. Francis O'Sullivan, presenting MIT's new study "The Future of Solar Energy", released just this month. This MIT Energy Initiative analysis aimed to "assess solar energy's current and potential competitive position and to identify changes in US government policies that could more efficiently and effectively support its massive deployment over the long-term, which we view as necessary".

In the afternoon before our Forum, SEBANE and NESENC host "Defining Solar's Value: A Stakeholders' Forum".

BASEA is doing some great work in promoting the switch to sustainable energy technologies! I looked through their website, and the organization seems to be quite successful in providing students with a look into the solar industry. It is so important for students to be aware of the growth of this and other sustainable energy industries so that they will be more likely to enter this field upon graduating. We really need for this kind of energy to become more and more economically competitive! If anyone is interested in seeing more about what BASEA does, here's a link to their site: http://www.basea.org/index.php

And definitely check out this forum on the future of solar energy, especially if you're a student in the Boston area and are considering entering this field of study or work.
