American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy Report: Energy Efficiency Key to Resiliency Strategies

Energy efficiency is said to be an important component of any resilient strategy. Energy efficient buildings have the ability to withstand emergencies such as power outage or heating disruption. A recent report by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy titled; Enhancing Community Resilience through Energy Efficiency, states that energy efficiency aids in emergency responsiveness and recovery because it adapts and mitigates climate change. It also provides social and economic benefits to the communities by reducing the vulnerability to hazards such as hurricanes and other economic volatilities. Read more here:
