Why should companies invest in high technology buildings? The competition between companies is big, so they need always to look ahead to improve their methods of efficiency. The green buildings investments and efficiency energy are working with excellence, so why do not go deep and try to be even more efficient? Corporations and industries buildings use a large amount of energy, around one-third of all US energy use. Investing in green building, companies can achieve excellent results saving a lot of energy and water but it is hard to reach a 100% of savings. To try to achieve the zero energy building or the closest of this, it is important to company invest in efficient methods. Nowadays the efficient way that is coming up is the high technology buildings, which can reach the highest level of performance building, developing energy for the building consumption with autonomy of energy expenses, and control of water waste and materials waste during the period of construction. Therefore, if companies invest more in high technology efficient buildings, they can reach the objective so wished for many green companies; besides improve the environment needs in a large way and at the same time reach profitable results attracting more investors bringing innovation to the company name. Examples of major coroporation investing in high technology efficiency efforts include: -Apple contracted First Solar in Monterey County, California, to build a solar energy farm which will provide enough energy to power all Apple’s California stores, offices, headquarters and data center. Alphabet, Google’s new parent company, is developing technologies to cut pollution, curb energy use, improve transportation, provide more green space and reduce the cost of city living. It will focus on “technology platforms that people can plug into” to manage energy use and commuting habits. -Google, which is the largest corporate buyer of renewable energy investing billions in energy efficiency and renewable power to make the company more environmentally friendly. The company plans to triple its purchases of renewable energy by 2025. It has invested in over 20 solar and wind projects.
