The predominant green building governmental organization in the US has introduced a new way for consumers to see where their electricity for their building is coming from. Although they can't identify where an electron comes from, they can tell consumers which power plants are connected to which grids. This will give customers the knowledge to know if they are receiving clean or dirty electricity. This is a huge step in the right direction for clean energy. I am a junior at Boston University majoring in Environmental Analysis and Policy. I am in the dual degree program and will also be receiving an MA in Energy and Environment upon graduation. I would like to learn more about the green building industry, especially in the New York metropolitan area.
