From the Massachusetts Climate Action Network (MCAN): "As you know, one important way we can make more clean energy in our state and region is to improve the Renewable Portfolio Standard. Bills aimed at making the Renewable Portfolio Standard better get a hearing on September 19th. It’s time to get moving on Renewable Portfolio Standards in Massachusetts! We need to make sure leadership on Beacon Hill knows we care about this issue. MA has been a leader on climate and clean energy policy, and with the Trump administration making a mess at the national level, us being out in front is more important than ever. Harvey showed this in a very painful way this last week. That’s why we’ve written this letter so your organization can show your support. I am hoping you will sign your group on to this letter that supports increasing the RPS more each year. The letter supports getting us to 50% clean energy by 2030 and 100% by 2050. Here's a link to a google form with the letter and a space for you to fill out your information: https://goo.gl/forms/sQLEo1NmhpvFzKh62 The letter with your organization’s name and all the other organizations who have signed on will be submitted to the committee members. So far we have 22 organizations signed on, I hope you will add yours to the list! Please fill out the form by September 4th; it takes less than a minutes to complete. If you have questions about the letter, please email Faith Simon at faithsimon@massclimateaction.net. If you have questions about the Renewable Portfolio Standard, you might find answers here. Thanks for all the work you do to combat climate change, and keep up the great work! "
