I hope you’ll check out my latest blog post for US Green Building Council - Los Angeles Chapter on Resilience: "Just over a year ago I started this blog to better understand what people think about the concepts and principles of sustainability. Early in the series I wrote an entry on resilience and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. Unfortunately, the experience has been more like marbles rolling around in a labyrinth getting stuck in all the corners than a meditative walk along a winding pathway.” To read more, visit: https://usgbc-la.org/blog/snapshot-on-sust-the-word-is-out/

It's great to hear that LA has published a resilience guide - so people can have concrete ideas on how to put this complex concept into action. I agree: "We must be careful not to isolate solutions, yet we must also not over-analyze to the point of inaction." And also, yes, there are no bullet proof assets - or people. So much action is needed, and this would already be difficult if we were aware and agreed. I look forward to hearing more about what you are learning!
