The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s recently released human health risk assessment shows that farmworkers who apply the chlorpyrifos, a widely used pesticide, or work in the field may be sickened by unsafe levels of the chemical. EPA also found that chlorpyrifos, even when applied exactly following the label directions, contaminates drinking water at levels that might harm infants. The EPA already banned the chlorpyrifos from household use in 2001. Rural and agricultural communities deserve the same protections. Urge the EPA to ban this toxic pesticide: https://secure.earthjustice.org/site/Advocacy;jsessionid=E6579CF19AEB2B1E6C515DAB5486BD2C.app338b?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=1677&utm_source=crm&utm_content=HTMLBodyLink1&autologin=true#start
